Associate Lawyer
The time has come to add another fellow lawyer to our legal team. We are looking for the right combination of tenacity, client service, self-driven work ethic, humour and teamwork in our newest lawyer. While that may sound impossible, we know you’re out there. You may feel you have more to offer and you want to work side by side with professionals that take pride in supporting their clients through one of the largest financial transactions of their lives.
The Gig:
You will possess solid experience in the full cycle of Property and Real Estate transactions for residential Real Estate in Nova Scotia. This includes all elements of the transaction process for purchases, sales and refinances. You will be responsible for ensuring the entire process is managed accurately and effectively with the support of your amazing paralegal team. You will have a great opportunity to work alongside experienced and established Real Estate Lawyers to hone your skills and build your knowledge and client base.
We focus on accuracy, timeliness and exceptional client service as are markers of success. Oh and of course, a steady supply of humour and respect for work-life balance.
To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate that you a practicing lawyer with excellent people skills, self-directed and sufficient and maintain a high level of due diligence with our clients’ files while looking for and accepting feedback to become mastered in your profession. You must be a reliable source for both lawyers and clients through the full real estate transaction that is in full compliance with all current and appropriate Provincial requirements.
Your Street Cred:
• Be a member in good standing of the Law Society of Nova Scotia
• 3 – 5 years’ experience practicing law. Preference is given to experience in residential Real Estate transactions, however, family and corporate law is also considered a great compliment to this skill set.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and a superior business acumen
• Be motivated, self-assured, detail oriented and dependable
• Demonstrate a willingness to advance the ongoing and exciting growth of the firm
• Be both a self-starter and team player
